Russian missile kills four in Odesa

As of 9 pm, a Russian missile attack on Odesa killed 4 people and injured at least 27, damaging educational institution. According to preliminary information, Russia fired Iskander-M missiles with cluster munitions and shrapnel to cause as much damage and casualties as possible.


Stoltenberg invites Zelenskyy to NATO summit

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during his visit to Kyiv has invited Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the Alliance's summit in Washington but noted that the consent of all its members is required to invite Ukraine to NATO. 


Zelenskyy and NATO chief discuss idea of US$100 billion fund for Ukraine

Zelenskyy stated that he and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg met in Kyiv and discussed, among other things, the Secretary General's proposal to establish a NATO special fund to support Ukraine in the amount of €100 billion over a five-year period. Stoltenberg proposed to establish a fund of allied contributions as part of a package that alliance leaders will approve when they meet in Washington in July.

Ukraine suspends protection of property rights and free elections under Council of Europe conventions

Ukraine has informed the Council of Europe secretariat of a change in the list of exceptions to its obligations under the Council of Europe's documents, including the European Convention on Human Rights. The ECHR gives member states the right to declare a reasoned derogation from certain obligations due to special circumstances, including military aggression.


Ukraine to protect future F-16 fleet by dispersing it in underground bunkers

As reported by Air Force spokesman Ilia Yevlash, Ukraine is set to protect its future F-16 fleet using strategic underground bunkers and dispersal tactics, complicating Russian efforts to locate these aircraft. This approach includes significant investments in infrastructure.


Polish farmers terminate border blockade with Ukraine, easing tensions

On 29 April, Polish farmers stopped protesting at the last blocked border crossing with Ukraine, ending a blockade that has lasted for months and worsened relations between both countries, Kyiv and Warsaw said, according to Reuters. At the same time, trucks carrying grain crops will be prohibited from entering Poland.
