Zelenskyy: Ukraine will lose war if US Congress fails to deliver aid funding

Russian Troops Execute 3 Ukrainian POWs in Kherson Region

Russian troops shot unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war (POWs) in Krynky, Kherson Region, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported. The video released on a Telegram channel “shows how a representative of the Russian Armed Forces fires several shots, probably from an assault rifle, at unarmed stationary soldiers,” the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.


Russia damaged 80% of Ukraine’s thermal power plants, half of hydroelectric ones

Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that Russia has damaged 80% of Ukraine’s non-nuclear power plants, including half its hydroelectric ones, and multiple substations over recent weeks. The minister noted an increase in the scale and intensity of the attacks, with more than 150 aerial weapons, including Iranian-designed Shahed explosive drones and missiles, used in a single day on 22 March, compared to an average of about 100 during 2022-2023.


Three people killed in Zaporizhzhia region due to Russian missile shelling

Three people were killed, and three others were injured due to Russian missile shelling in the Polohivskyi district of Zaporizhzhia region. Russians shelled the region using Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Russian military attacked Zaporizhzhia region 357 times in the past day in eight different populated areas.


Russia requests 100,000 tons of gasoline from Kazakhstan amid refinery attacks

Russia has asked Kazakhstan to supply it with 100,000 tons of gasoline in anticipation of a potential shortage, which may worsen due to Ukraine’s drone strike campaign, Reuters reported on April 8, citing three industry sources.
