Zelenskyy to address senators and meet with House of Representatives speaker during visit to US

During his visit to the United States on 12 December, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will deliver an address to a gathering of US senators and meet with Mike Johnson, Speaker of the US House of Representatives. Earlier, the White House and the Ukrainian President's Office had announced a meeting between US President Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday, 12 December. During the meeting, Biden plans to emphasize that the United States is committed to supporting the people of Ukraine in their defense against Russian aggression.


EU should use all its capabilities to support Ukraine, says Borrell

EU foreign ministers will discuss ways to guarantee Ukraine's security on December 11 ahead of this week's EU summit. "Russia continues to attack Ukraine, but Russia's losses are growing: it is time to support Kyiv more, not less,” Borrell said. “Today we will discuss security guarantees for Ukraine and the ministers should give me guidelines to present options at the summit of heads of state and government,” he added.

Hungary threatens to push back talks on Ukraine's path to EU membership until March
