Commander-in-chief Syrskyi: Ukraine has started a defensive operation
Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said in an interview with German TV channel ZDF that Ukraine has moved to a defensive operation. Currently, Russians are advancing practically along the entire front line. "The goal of our operation is to deplete the enemy's forces, inflict maximum losses on them using fortifications, technical advantages, electronic warfare, and hold the defense lines," he said.
Ukraine reinforcing troops in Avdiivka
Ukraine is reinforcing its troops fighting in Donetsk region’s Avdiivka, and some units of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade were withdrawn from the city for rotation for the first time in almost two years, the brigade's spokesman Ivan Siekach said. He did not say which unit was deployed to Avdiivka to reinforce the 110th brigade, noting only that "this is powerful support, we felt a little calmer when they came."
