Russia strikes Ukraine with 64 missiles and drones: four civilians were killed

Russia attacked Ukraine using 64 missiles of various types and kamikaze drones on the morning of 7 February. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 44 Russian targets. In Kyiv the strike had resulted in a fire in a multi-storey residential building, killing four civilians.


Russians struck Kharkiv with North Korean missiles, says police

Two out of the five missiles used in the Russian attack on Kharkiv on 7 February are reportedly of North Korean origin, Serhii Bolvinov, head of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of National Police in Kharkiv region said.


Zelenskyy asks EU Foreign Affairs chief for ammunition, drones and air defense systems

In a meeting with Josep Borrell in Kyiv, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has requested that the European Union provide additional ammunition, drones and air defense systems. During his visit to Kyiv, Josep Borrell spoke about the need for Ukraine's political unity, the implementation of reforms and the need for effective democratic mechanisms in this country.


EU and Ukraine need common defense industry market – Ukraine's Foreign Minister

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said that Ukraine and Europe can work together to equalize the "artillery balance" with Russia, and the necessary work is underway. Kuleba at a joint briefing with EU chief diplomat Josep Borrell in Kyiv noted that the scale of the Russian-Ukrainian war had reached a level that Ukrainian ammunition stockpiles are "not ready" for.


IAEA mission visits Zaporizhzhia NPP occupied by Russians

An IAEA mission has visited the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, says the agency's Director General Rafael Grossi. "On my 4th visit to ZNPP, assessed observance of principles for protecting the plant & status of current power and cooling systems, levels of qualified staff, among others," wrote Grossi on his social media. At a press conference in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, the agency's director general noted that the stations are staffed by half the number of personnel it needs.
