Ukrainian government comments on UK's former PM Johnson's "peace plan"

Olha Stefanishyna, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, stated that the "peace proposals" of former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson, which have been the subject of heated debates in Ukraine, reflect his personal views. According to Stefanishyna, Johnson "acts solely on his own initiative, these are his own thoughts". "He acts in the best interests of Ukraine and can afford it, because he knows the position of our president and the position of Ukrainians," added Stefanishyna in a conversation with reporters.


Zelenskyy, Trump plan future meeting after recent phone call

US presidential candidate Donald Trump, during a phone conversation, urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy not to believe fake news suggesting that his potential victory would benefit Russia, said Ukrainian Presidential Spokesperson Serhii Nykyforov.


FM chief Kuleba to visit China for first time since full-scale war's start

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will visit China on July 23 for a three-day visit, marking his first trip to the country since the outbreak of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced on July 22. During the visit, Kyiv's chief diplomat and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi will discuss Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine, China's role in achieving just and stable peace, and Ukrainian-Chinese relations, the ministry noted.


Ukraine reaches preliminary deal with bondholders on debt restructuring

Kyiv has reached an agreement in principle with some of its creditors to restructure the country's external debt, amounting to around $23 billion, the authorities said on July 22. Ukraine struck a deal with its creditors at the onset of the Russian full-scale invasion to postpone the payments due to the war's pressure on the country's economy. The deal to freeze payments of around $23 billion was about to expire on August 1.


Last Ukrainian church dismantled in occupied Crimea

Russian occupiers began dismantling the Holy Cross Exaltation Church of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in temporarily occupied Yevpatoriia; Ukraine’s former Deputy Prosecutor General Gyunduz Mamedov said that it was the last Ukrainian church in Crimea.
