Ukraine and EU sign security agreement outlining mutual financial commitments

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen have signed a security agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.


Ukraine signs security agreements with Lithuania and Estonia at EU Summit

The signing ceremony was held before the start of the Council of Europe meeting (EU Summit), to which Ukraine’s president was also invited. Zelenskyy signed agreements with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. Thus the number of security agreements signed by Ukraine with its partners has reached 20.


EU allocates more than $2 bn of financial support to Ukraine

Ukraine has received a tranche worth more than $2 billion as part of financial support from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility Plan. According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the EU’s total budgetary support since the beginning of this year has already reached almost $8.5 billion.


North Korea may send its engineering troops to temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast as part of agreement with Russia

As part of the agreement with Russia on "automatic military assistance", North Korea will send its engineering troops to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast, reported the South Korean TV channel TV Chosun, citing its own sources. North Korea currently has 10 engineering brigades. According to TV Chosun, the Russians promise "high salaries" to the North Korean military. If North Korea sends its soldiers to the territories occupied by Russia, then Pyongyang will be able to receive approximately $115 million in foreign currency every year.


Ministers sent on urgent working trips to frontline oblasts

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal instructed the ministers to go on working trips to front-line oblasts, followed by compulsory reporting, he wrote on June 27. This was preceded by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's trip to Pokrovsk on June 26, after which he said that some government officials had not been to Donetsk Oblast for six months.


Russia forces 10,000 migrants into war effort against Ukraine

Russia has already "rounded up" and sent 10,000 migrants to fight in the war against Ukraine, Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Russian Investigative Committee, said on June 27.
