Russia sentences four Ukrainian soldiers to life imprisonment

The so-called court of the fake Donetsk People's Republic sentenced four Ukrainian prisoners of war from Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia battalion to life imprisonment for false accusations of murder civilians in Mariupol in 2022. 


Russian attack destroys 50,000 books at Kharkiv printing house, kills 7 workers

The Russian military launched a massive attack on Kharkiv on 23 May, killing five people and injuring nine others as of 11 pm of 23 May. A Russian attack destroyed a printing house, where 50,000 books burned out. According to the police, the occupying forces struck with an S-300 missile system, with three missiles hitting the workshop and adjacent territory. Zelenskyy condemned the attack, saying “Russia is at war with humanity & all aspects of normal life.”


Defense Forces stop Russians on Kharkiv front – Ukraine's General Staff

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine says that the Ukrainian Defence Forces have stopped Russian troops on the Kharkiv front and are launching a counter-offensive. Fierce fighting continues along almost the entire contact line. The Defense Forces are inflicting heavy losses on the Russians, Ukrainian artillery and unmanned systems are actively working, and aviation is being used, the General Staff states.


Germany provided another IRIS-T system to Ukraine

In total, Germany promised Ukraine 9 IRIS-T SLM and 11 IRIS-T SLS. However, the issue is not only producing systems in sufficient quantities to meet Ukraine's needs, but also producing interceptor missiles, as the manufacturer cannot keep up with the pace of their depletion in the war.


Russia uses African Corps in its offensive on Vovchansk 

UK Defence Intelligence has said that Russia is stepping up its war against Ukraine with resources previously earmarked for Africa, including the African Corps, which includes former Wagnerites.
