Ukraine marks the first anniversary of the liberation of Kherson from Russian occupation 

“Hero city. A symbolic city. A city of hope. The city of our people who did not submit to the enemy force and inspired all of us and the whole world with their resistance. These are our blue and yellow flags, which proved over and over again on the streets of Kherson and in many houses and apartments that Ukraine is united. All of it – from the northern border to our sea. These are months without communication, without information, but with faith – with faith in Ukraine,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his video address. 


Russia attacks Kyiv with Iskander ballistic missile after 52-day pause

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that a ballistic missile, presumably an Iskander, was launched towards the city at around 08:00. The missile did not reach Kyiv, as air defense forces destroyed it on its approach to the capital. 18 residential houses were damaged, the blast wave and the wreckage falling into houses shattered windows and doors, and damaged roofs and facades.


Massive fire breaks out at gunpowder plant in Russian Tambov

Local residents said they heard an explosion before the fire erupted at the factory. Explosions were also heard in the town of Kolomna: locals complained that they heard loud sounds near the Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau, which is one of Russia's leading research and production centers in the field of military equipment.


Macron calls December critical month for war in Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that the next month will be critical in the Russo-Ukrainian war as Ukraine tries to regain its territory in counteroffensive operations. Macron noted that if Russia is allowed to win the war, "you will have a new imperial power" in Europe that might threaten other former Soviet states, such as Georgia and Kazakhstan, as well as the entire continent.


10,000 soldiers and 7 Su-25s: Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief names losses of Russians near Avdiivka

Today marks exactly a month since Russians began actively storming the outskirts of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi stated that since then, Ukrainian soldiers have destroyed: over 100 enemy tanks and 250 other armored vehicles. The overall losses of the adversary in personnel amount to about 10,000.
