Ukrainian marines gain ground on Kherson region’s left bank

Ukrainian marines have confirmed that the Defence Forces gained ground at several bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River on the Kherson front. This message was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces. "Left Bank of Kherson region. Our warriors. Thank you for your strength, for moving forward! Glory to everyone who restores freedom and justice to Ukraine," President Zelenskyy said.


Zelenskyy: Without the support of the West we will retreat

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the shift in focus to the Israel-Hamas war has slowed deliveries of artillery shells to Kyiv. “Now I am focused on getting aid from the West,” Zelenskyy said. Their “focus is shifting because of the Middle East — and other reasons. Without the support, we will move backward.”


More than 4,300 Ukrainians remain in Russian captivity

About 4,337 Ukrainians remain in Russian captivity as of Nov. 17, the Reintegration Ministry of the Temporarily Occupied Ukrainian Territories reported, including 3,574 military personnel and 763 civilians. Some 11,000 civilians and 15,000 soldiers are considered missing “under special circumstances” in Ukraine, Deputy Interior Minister Leonid Timchenko said. 


At least 2,442 Ukrainian children deported to Belarus since full-scale war began

The Yale School of Public Health's Humanitarian Research Laboratory has found that at least 2,442 Ukrainian children between the ages of 6 and 17 have been deported to Belarus since Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine began. 


Biden signs temporary funding bill without aid to Ukraine to avoid shutdown

US President Joe Biden signed on Thursday a short-term government funding bill to avoid a government shutdown. This bill does not include funding to support either Ukraine or Israel.
