Zelenskyy: Fierce Ukrainian counter-attack crushes Russian attempt to push toward Vuhledar

"There was an attempt by the enemy to advance on the Vuhledar axis, but our soldiers stopped it, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy: dozens of vehicles, many killed and wounded," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram. Ukrainian forces are also conducting defensive operations in Avdiivka and offensive operations in the south of the country, Zelenskyy said.


Nearly 1,000 Russians killed over past day

Russia has lost about 302,000 of its troops since the beginning of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, including 930 over the past day, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff said in its daily update.

Wagner Group may be providing Pantsir anti-aircraft systems to the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, U.S. officials told the Wall Street Journal on November 2. Pantsir is a self-propelled air defense system with anti-aircraft missiles and guns to intercept planes and helicopters.

The attacks include shelling, missile strikes, and artillery fire in areas such as Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions, resulting in casualties and damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.


US announces large-scale sanctions package against suppliers of military technologies to Russia

The Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control has announced a large-scale package of sanctions against 130 individuals and legal entities that help Russia supply technology for military production. Also The US Department of State has imposed economic sanctions against dozens of Russian individuals and legal entities. Among others, the sanctions concern energy projects and the military-industrial complex of Russia.
