Ukraine has 55,000 citizens in its unified register for persons missing under special circumstances, Deputy Interior Minister Leonid Tymchenko told Ukrinform in an interview published on September 26. The register includes people who have disappeared due to war, occupation, or natural and man-made disasters. The figure underscores the humanitarian impact of Russia's full-scale war, which has brought illegal deportations, kidnappings, and a large number of deaths among both the military and civilians in Ukraine.
UK to deliver AS90 artillery howitzers to Ukraine, exceeding initial pledge
Great Britain to send a batch of AS90 self-propelled artillery howitzers to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was stated in the press release of the British Ministry of Defense. The announcement comes as the UK speeds up the delivery of vital military support, with the new government set to surpass its pledge of delivering 12 AS90 artillery guns within 100 days of taking office. Currently, 10 such howitzers have already been delivered to Ukraine, and in the coming weeks, the Armed Forces will receive 6 more.
Georgia's ruling party intimidates citizens with destruction caused by Russia in Ukraine as part of its election campaign
As part of its election campaign, the ruling pro-Russian Georgian Dream party created banners depicting the carnage wrought by Russia in Ukraine, comparing it to a "normal life" in Georgia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in its statement has condemned and called unacceptable the use of images of the aftermath of Russia's war against Ukraine in political advertising. They also expressed hope that the parliamentary elections in Georgia would be peaceful and democratic and that the Georgian people would continue on their strategic course of joining the EU and NATO.
